Greek authorities have arrested a 72-year-old man accused of repeatedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl within his social environment. The arrest followed a tip-off made through the dedicated child protection hotline ‘10201’. Officers from the Juvenile Protection Unit quickly evaluated the report and gathered evidence, leading to the man’s apprehension in the Greek suburb of Elliniko. The suspect is now facing charges and has been referred to the appropriate prosecutor.
