Italian Tourism Minister Daniela Santanchè Charged with Accounting Fraud
Daniela Santanchè, Italy’s Tourism Minister, is under investigation in Milan for alleged accounting fraud linked to Visibilia Editore’s finances. Prosecutors Maria Giuseppina Gravina and Luigi Luzi argue that a culture of silence surrounded the misconduct, as numerous individuals, including Santanchè’s partner and relatives, are implicated. A total of 17 people are facing similar charges. While the involved companies have agreed to an administrative sanction, the fate of the accused will be determined in the next hearing scheduled for November 26.
