Families Honor Unfound Victims Amid Ongoing Search Efforts
Families of the Disappeared gathered at Stormont’s Parliament Buildings to lay a wreath for five missing victims from the Troubles. The black wreath, adorned with five white lilies, symbolizes ongoing hopes for closure. Among those remembered are victims abducted by the IRA and Lisa Dorrian, taken in 2005 by individuals linked to loyalist groups. Despite extensive searches by the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims’ Remains, remains of several victims, including Robert Nairac and Columba McVeigh, remain undiscovered, highlighting the emotional struggles of the families involved.
