Voting Machine Issues Arise in Pennsylvania Counties
On Tuesday morning, several precincts in Bedford County, Pennsylvania reported problems with vote-counting machines before polls opened. Jeffrey Gable, the county’s election director, assured that while support teams were dispatched to resolve the issues, voting was not disrupted. Meanwhile, approximately 50 miles away in Cambria County, officials requested an extension to polling hours due to a ‘software malfunction’ affecting voters’ ability to scan ballots. The Pennsylvania Department of State is collaborating with county officials to address these challenges.
