Greek Government Launches Housing Program with Reduced Interest Rates

Nikos Papathanasis, Greece’s Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, announced a new housing program aimed at helping 20,000 citizens purchase homes with lower interest rates. Speaking on ERT News, he emphasized government interventions to ease citizens’ daily lives and noted that ongoing economic improvements will lead to further fiscal relief measures. The ‘Home Program 2’ will begin in January and is targeted at all citizens under 50 years of age. Papathanasis highlighted the government’s commitment to reducing transaction costs and taxes for a better economic environment.
