New Search for Missing Flight MH370 Approved by Malaysian Government
After nearly ten years since the disappearance of Flight MH370, the Malaysian government has agreed to a new search operation for the missing aircraft, which vanished with 239 people onboard in March 2014. Rob Luijnenburg, formerly involved in the search with the Dutch company Fugro, expressed hope that advancements in technology, including the use of underwater drones and AI, might lead to a breakthrough in finding the wreckage. The search area is estimated to cover 15,000 square kilometers, with the American company Ocean Infinity leading the efforts under a ‘no cure no pay’ agreement.
