Iraqi authorities have uncovered the remains of approximately 100 Kurdish women and children from a mass grave in the southern region, believed to be victims of Saddam Hussein’s regime during the 1980s. The grave was located near Tal al-Shaikhia, with ongoing exhumation efforts revealing that many of the deceased were executed. This discovery adds to the grim legacy of Hussein, who was responsible for the deaths of around 180,000 Kurds during his dictatorship.
