Syria’s New Authorities Capture Nearly 300 Individuals Linked to Former Regime
The Syrian Interior Ministry announced a crackdown on remnants of the former regime, resulting in the arrest of approximately 300 individuals in recent days. This operation targeted areas including Damascus, Homs, and Deir Ezzor. Among those apprehended were informants and military personnel loyal to the deposed government of Bashar al-Assad. Despite the ongoing campaign, no prominent figures have been detained, except for General Mohammed Kanjo Hassan, the former head of military justice, who was captured on Thursday.
