The new year in Syros began with a unique musical celebration at the historic Apollo Theater, featuring the melodies of Stavros Xarhakos performed by students of the music school ‘En Chordais & Organois’. Founded by Xarhakos eight years ago, the school aims to preserve and promote Greek folk and Byzantine music. The concerts, held on January 3 and 4, showcased the young musicians’ talents along with celebrated artists, raising funds for the school’s continuation and highlighting Syros as a cultural hub for Greek music.
