The Coalition for Corporate Responsibility has launched a new initiative aimed at ensuring that Swiss-based international companies are held accountable for their impact on human rights and the environment. Following the failure of a similar initiative in 2020, the coalition, comprising over 90 human rights and environmental organizations, seeks to gather 100,000 valid signatures by July 7, 2026, to bring the measure to a vote. The initiative targets companies with over 1,000 employees and significant revenue, requiring them to adhere to diligence obligations overseas and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
