132-Year-Old Message in a Bottle Discovered in Scottish Lighthouse
Engineers at Corsewall Lighthouse, Scotland, unearthed a bottle containing a letter dated September 4, 1892, during an inspection. The historic find, believed to be the first of its kind in a Scottish lighthouse, reveals the names of three engineers who worked on the lantern installation and three lighthouse keepers. Ross Russell, who discovered the bottle, expressed amazement at touching a piece of history after 132 years. The team plans to place the bottle and its message back in their original location, adding a new note for future generations.
