Giorgia Meloni Highlights Economic Strategy and Health Funding Growth
During a meeting with union representatives, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni reaffirmed the government’s commitment to long-term economic stability and growth amidst challenging international conditions. She emphasized a departure from past approaches that favored immediate popularity over sustainable growth, while addressing the heavy legacy of public debt. Meloni also announced a significant increase in the National Health Fund, which will reach a record 136.5 billion euros by 2025. This marks a growth of 10.5 billion euros over two years, reflecting both absolute increase and per capita spending improvements, even factoring in inflation.
