A RATP security agent is in police custody following an incident at Nanterre-Université station where a young man was struck by a train after falling onto the platform. The Nanterre prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into attempted murder, confirming the victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The RATP reported that the individual was unbalanced and hit by an arriving train. Emergency services were quick to respond, transporting the victim to the hospital. RATP’s CEO, Jean Castex, has initiated an internal inquiry in collaboration with user representative associations.
