The National Technical University of Athens has opened its doors for a three-day commemoration of the 51st anniversary of the 1973 Polytechnic Uprising, a pivotal event against the military junta. The celebrations include historical reflections, with increased police presence and security measures, deploying over 5,000 officers throughout Athens to ensure safety. Gates at the Polytechnic will be open from November 15 to 17, concluding with a traditional march to the U.S. Embassy.
