Cretan-Imeian Educational Exchange Strengthens Cultural Ties
A program enhancing connections between students from Crete and Imvros is underway in Heraklion. Fifteen Imvrian children visited Rethymno and Heraklion to partake in a rich program featuring dance, music, and learning. Their teacher, Anthia Kehagia, emphasized the initiative’s goal of addressing the psychological needs of students in the educational environment. The collaboration fosters lasting bonds, with many Imvrians considering relocation to their island, driven by a nostalgia for their heritage and strong community ties being formed across the Aegean.
