Amazon Acquires ‘American Speed’ Starring Tom Holland and Austin Butler
Amazon’s MGM Studios has successfully acquired the film ‘American Speed,’ featuring Tom Holland and Austin Butler, after a competitive bidding process. The movie, written by Dan Wiedenhaupt, is based on the true story of the Whittington brothers, renowned race car drivers entangled in a financial scandal during the 1980s. The project will be co-produced by Oscar winner Charles Roven through Atlas Entertainment. Holland is set to appear in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film alongside Matt Damon, while Butler is currently filming ‘Caught Stealing’ directed by Darren Aronofsky.
