Announcement of Tender for Electrical Interconnection of Corinth and Kos
The Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMYE) has announced the tender for the electrical interconnection project between Corinth and Kos, crucial for linking the Dodecanese Islands to the mainland grid. The project includes high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems and converter stations, with a budget of approximately 1.4 billion euros. This interconnection aims to enhance energy security and facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources while reducing reliance on fossil fuel power stations.
