Boeing Workers End Strike with 38% Pay Increase
After more than seven weeks of striking, Boeing workers have accepted the company’s third wage offer, resulting in a 38% pay increase over four years. Approximately 33,000 employees in the Seattle area will return to work following a vote by union members, where 59% supported the offer. Although the union initially sought a 40% increase, workers will also receive a $12,000 one-time bonus. The strike severely impacted Boeing’s operations, further complicating the company’s financial struggles, which included a reported loss of $6.17 billion in the last quarter.
