During the recent Health IT Conference in Athens, the Central Macedonia Region introduced the ‘UNITE’ project, aimed at establishing a Regional Innovation Valley in Digital Health. Maria Goulaptsi, head of Innovation Support, outlined the initiative’s goals, including funding for innovative European startups in digital health. ‘UNITE’ promotes efficient public procurement processes and data exchange between partner regions, enhancing health solution integration. With a budget nearing €20 million from the EU, the project will support inter-regional innovative initiatives and provide policy recommendations by 2028 to influence future healthcare initiatives.
