Christian Godard, Influential French Comic Artist, Passes Away at 92
Renowned French comic artist Christian Godard has died at the age of 92 at his home in Paris after a year-long battle with cancer. Godard, known for series like ‘Norbert et Kari’ and ‘Martin Milan,’ began his career in the 1950s under the pseudonym Ème. He collaborated with notable figures, including René Goscinny, and authored over 230 albums. His diverse talents extended to novels, plays, and television scripts. Godard’s impact on the comic industry is celebrated, and he will be laid to rest on November 14 at the Saint-Ouen cemetery.
