On the 51st anniversary of the Polytechnic uprising, various parties, organizations, and retirees gathered in Komotini to honor the event that symbolizes ‘bread, education, freedom’. The demonstration began in front of the old Law School and included a march and wreath-laying at the National Resistance Monument. Earlier, the Communist Party of Greece laid wreaths in the morning. The event emphasized the significance of unity and freedom during the challenging times of 1973, as highlighted by the announcement from Democritus University of Thrace.
