In Greece’s Kyrakali Grevenon, the construction of 80 worker housing units is set for completion by September 2025, ahead of schedule. President of the Grevenon Labor Center, Lazaros Charalampidis, shared that the project, which budgeted at €6.2 million, has been unfinished since 2009. The recently resumed construction will also initiate the verification of beneficiaries’ documentation to finalize housing allocations. Concerns remain as many original beneficiaries from a 2007 lottery may not qualify, leading to fears that some homes could remain unoccupied.
