Crypto Expert Linked to Gang Killed in Airport Shooting
Antônio Vinicius Gritzbach, a Brazilian cryptocurrency expert and former member of the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), was shot dead at Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo. The attack, captured on security cameras, involved two gunmen who opened fire outside the terminal, injuring three others. Gritzbach had been collaborating with prosecutors under a plea deal, intending to provide information about the PCC’s money laundering operations. The gang, a dominant force in Brazilian organized crime, has extensive networks globally, including Portugal, where it reportedly has around 1,000 associates.
