Cyprus President Meets UN Secretary-General to Discuss Climate Conference Outcomes
Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides held discussions with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in Baku during the 29th Climate Change Conference. Guterres confirmed that plans are progressing for an extended meeting, following prior discussions on October 15. Additionally, UN Assistant Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo will visit Cyprus for coordination efforts. Christodoulides also had a brief meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, described as a continuation of previous talks in Budapest. The dialogue focused on regional cooperation and joint initiatives.
