Eastern Macedonia and Thrace to Restart European Aid Program for Vulnerable Groups
Beginning in early 2025, the European Aid Program for Vulnerable Groups will resume in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, transitioning from municipal to regional management. The program, with a budget of approximately €28 million, aims to provide food, hygiene items, and social support services to those in need. Beneficiaries will receive goods through six bi-monthly distributions, with potential for a seventh. Delivery will be facilitated both at designated points and via home delivery for individuals with mobility challenges. The program is set to run until 2027, with a possibility of extension to 2029.
