Emergency Drill Conducted for Thessaloniki Subway Fire Scenario
An emergency preparedness drill took place on November 13 in the Thessaloniki Metro, simulating a fire caused by an explosive device in the last carriage between the Euclid and Papafi stations. While only minor injuries occurred, mostly respiratory issues, the Emergency Medical Services provided assistance. Special police units are investigating with trained dogs for potential explosives, supported by statements from six witnesses who reported seeing the suspects plant the device. The Anti-Terrorism Unit has taken over the investigation.
