During the European Week for Waste Reduction, the South Aegean Solid Waste Management Authority is raising awareness about food waste under the theme ‘Don’t Feed Waste.’ With 58 million tons of food wasted in Europe in 2021, valued at €132 billion, the initiative emphasizes the environmental impact. In Greece, households discard approximately 930,000 tons of food annually. To educate the public, the Authority will host an informational booth in Rhodes from November 18-22, 10:00-14:00, covering recycling methods and the ‘Just Go Zero’ app for waste collection.
