FDP’s Joachim Stamp Remains Migration Envoy Amid Coalition Split

Despite the Free Democratic Party (FDP) exiting the coalition government, Joachim Stamp continues his role as the government’s special envoy for migration agreements. There has been no criticism from within the FDP regarding his position. Stamp, previously the NRW Minister for Integration, is still based at the Federal Ministry of the Interior. The coalition between the SPD, Greens, and FDP collapsed over disputes concerning economic policy and budget constraints, leading to most FDP ministers departing. Only Transport Minister Volker Wissing retains his position while distancing himself from the party.
