Fire Breaks Out on Greek Cargo Ship in Keratsini Port
A fire broke out this morning in the living quarters of a Greek-flagged cargo ferry docked at Pier G1 in Keratsini. The port authorities promptly evacuated the crew, while firefighters used four vehicles to extinguish the blaze. One crew member was taken to the hospital due to feeling unwell. No marine pollution was reported, but the fire caused material damage. The Central Port Authority of Piraeus is conducting an investigation and has prohibited the ship from departing until it receives a seaworthy certificate from its supervising organization.
