Swiss E-Bike manufacturer Flyer has announced the layoffs of 150 out of its 170 employees after deciding to move production out of Huttwil, Switzerland. The decision follows a three-week consultation process and marks the second restructuring for the company in under a year, after a previous reduction of staff by a quarter. The E-Bike industry has experienced a shift in demand, with a record number of 220,000 bikes sold in Switzerland in 2022, but interest has since declined.
