Former Care Manager Rehired Despite Past Misconduct
A former care manager fired for misconduct at a Tilburg institution has been discovered working in a similar capacity at a Limburg facility. This follows an investigation revealing serious complaints of physical and verbal abuse towards clients at Amarant, alongside unauthorized expenditures totaling €37,000. Though both the manager and a colleague were dismissed, the case did not go to court. The manager has since taken a position at Dichterbij, where new hires undergo background checks. However, due to the lack of judicial proceedings, he may still obtain a clean conduct certificate.
