Government Leaders Set Ambitious Housing Targets Through 2030
In a significant move for housing policy, government party leaders have agreed on new targets aimed at delivering 303,000 homes by 2030. This plan involves an annual average of 50,500 homes, ramping up to 60,000 in 2030. Taoiseach Simon Harris emphasized the necessity of these targets for meaningful policy debates ahead of the general election. Additionally, Minister for Housing Darragh O’Brien announced progress on the National Planning Framework, which aims to facilitate an average of 54,000 homes annually through 2040.
