The Greek parliament is set to vote on a new amendment allowing 37,500 free afternoon surgeries, funded by the recovery fund. First to benefit will be patients on the Unified Surgical List for over four months. Private hospitals will receive subsidies under this initiative, which is part of broader health reforms aimed at enhancing the personal physician system, titled ‘Reform of the Personal Physician Institution.’
