Discussions are underway to allow open-air markets to operate in the evenings, facilitating accessibility for both producers and consumers. Secretary General of Commerce and Consumer Protection Sotiris Anagnostopoulos highlighted that the goal is to create a direct relationship between farmers and consumers while addressing procedural challenges related to new markets. Existing local markets already number around 1,000 nationwide.
