Greece Unveils €1.1 Billion Support Measures in 2025 Budget

Greece’s 2025 budget, presented in parliament, includes €1.1 billion in support measures and forecasts a primary surplus of 2.4% of GDP, the fourth highest in Europe. The budget anticipates a 2.2% economic growth and a 2.7% inflation rate for this year, resulting in a 2.4% increase in pensions. Economist Yiannis Roukas praised the budget for its positive outlook and tax reductions, noting that it comprises 12 tax cuts alongside corresponding increases for citizens, benefiting retirees and social benefits.
