Greece’s New Initiative to Support Female Inmates Through Education and Reintegration
The Greek Ministry of Citizen Protection and the Ministry of Social Cohesion have signed a three-year memorandum aimed at enhancing support for female inmates. Spearheaded by Deputy Minister Andreas Nikolaakopoulos and Deputy Minister Katerina Papaikonomou, the agreement promotes educational initiatives, vocational training, and counseling services, with the goal of aiding the reintegration of incarcerated women into society.
