Greek Deputy Minister Highlights Flood Relief Efforts and Funding Extensions
Christos Triantopoulos, the Greek Deputy Minister for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, addressed the Parliament regarding the proposed amendment related to flood relief funding. He emphasized the necessity of extending deadlines for administrative and financial support for the General Directorate of State Aid until 2025 to ensure ongoing assistance for flood victims. Triantopoulos noted the successful disbursement of over 365 million euros in aid, including more than 342 million euros to over 65,000 flood-affected individuals within a short 14 months, attributing the achievements to strong inter-ministerial collaboration.
