On New Year’s Day, Greece’s Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Christos Stylianidis, reached out to captains and crews of Greek merchant ships and the Coast Guard via phone. He expressed gratitude for their service representing Greece globally, wishing them a happy New Year and calm seas. Minister Stylianidis communicated with several vessels, including the ‘NEPTUNE ETHOS’ and ‘MINERVA ASTRA’ in the Atlantic, and also spoke to Coast Guard patrols stationed at Lesvos and Samos.
