Greek Power Supply Failure Linked to High Humidity
A power supply failure in Greece caused disruptions to suburban train services early in the morning, attributed to high humidity affecting electrical network operations. The president of the Electricity Technicians Union, Stefanos Kounouklas, explained that low rainfall and moisture led to a drop in voltage, impacting distribution systems. While maintenance measures are being taken, challenges remain due to a shortage of technical personnel in maintenance roles. Kounouklas acknowledged that similar incidents could occur again, stressing the need for continuous improvements in network management and infrastructure.
