Greek Railway Line Reopens Between Florina and Thessaloniki by 2025
The railway line connecting Florina to Thessaloniki is set to reopen by February 2025, according to Infrastructure Deputy Minister Vassilis Oikonomou. This reopening follows the approval of a secure communication system for railway operations, aimed at reintegrating Florina into the national rail network. The minister’s visit to the region coincided with discussions on flood control projects and proposals for water aerodromes. A meeting with local authorities will also address inactive railway lines in Amynteo, a topic previously raised by local MP Stavros Papasotiropoulos.
