Greek wine continues to make significant strides in Italy, as showcased at the third annual Greek Wine Day held in Florence. The event, aimed at promoting Greek wine production, featured twenty wineries from across Greece, attracting professionals from the Italian wine industry, including sommeliers and renowned chef Stelios Sakalis. Three Greek wines received accolades in the forthcoming Italian guide ‘I Vini del cuore’. Organizers believe increasing visibility for Greek wine will enhance gastronomic tourism, with potential future events planned for Milan, signaling a bright future for this rich tradition.
