On January 12, 2025, the Kalamata Mountaineering Society will host a hiking event at Lycurgus Mountain, connecting the mountain villages of Lada and Artemis and showcasing historical and mythical significance spanning 3,000 years. The hike, rated difficulty level 1 for those in basic physical condition, will start from Artemis and feature unique views from Saint George’s peak. Participants must register in advance, with discounted rates for members under 25. The organization reserves the right to alter the program based on conditions.
