Impressive Apatosaurus Skeleton Fetches €6 Million at French Auction
An extraordinary Apatosaurus skeleton, measuring over 20 meters long, was auctioned for €6 million at a French château near Paris. This skeleton, known as Vulcain, dates back approximately 150 million years and is the largest dinosaur remains auctioned in France. Discovered in Wyoming in 2018, it consists of about 80% of its original structure, with some parts replicated. The anonymous buyer plans to donate the skeleton to a museum for further study, highlighting a growing interest in paleontology. Despite its hefty price, it is significantly less than other recent dinosaur auction records.
