The ST.E.R.N.A project in Sifnos aims to enhance local water management through community engagement and modern environmental technology. In collaboration with the UrbanDig Project, the initiative seeks to revive traditional water conservation practices, specifically the usage of cisterns, while integrating real-time monitoring systems in ten selected sites. The collected data will inform a local action plan, bridging citizens with sustainable water management solutions. Additionally, a gamified app will educate residents and visitors about Sifnos’s water heritage. Local officials emphasize the project’s potential to create a strong community focused on ecological resilience.
