Israel Secures $5.2 Billion Deal for Next-Gen F-15 Fighter Jets
The Israel Ministry of Defense has finalized a significant $5.2 billion agreement with Boeing to acquire 25 next-generation F-15IA fighter jets, with an option for an additional 25 aircraft. Funded by U.S. military aid, the jets will be delivered in batches starting in 2031. These upgraded fighters promise enhanced combat capabilities, including advanced weapon systems and improved operational performance. This acquisition marks part of Israel’s ongoing military investments amidst heightened tensions following the recent conflict with Hamas, totaling nearly $40 billion in arms purchases since October 7, 2023.
