Jack Teixeira Sentenced to 15 Years for Leaking Military Documents
Jack Teixeira, a 22-year-old former U.S. Air Force systems administrator, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for leaking hundreds of classified military documents. Teixeira struck a plea deal, avoiding additional charges that could have led to a maximum sentence of 30 years. His leaks, shared on Discord, included sensitive information about global conflicts and allies, such as details on the war in Ukraine and intelligence regarding Israel. Teixeira’s arrest in April 2023 marked one of the largest government leaks in recent U.S. history.
