In a recent speech in Thessaloniki, Aleka Papariga, a prominent member of the Greek Communist Party (KKE), asserted that current material conditions favor the construction of socialism. She emphasized that the capitalist economic crisis and intensifying imperialist conflicts create revolutionary opportunities. Papariga stressed the party’s duty to strengthen ties with the working class and promote socialist ideology. Her colleague, Makis Papadopoulos, added that socialism offers a solution to the exploitation and crises of the 21st century by prioritizing workers’ needs over capitalist profit.
