The Greek website parco.gov.gr has launched to promote safe social media practices among minors, under parental control. An accompanying application, ‘kids wallet’, will soon enable parents to monitor their children’s online time and content. This initiative aims to reduce excessive mobile device use among youths, mitigating negative effects on their mental and physical health. Giorgos Papaprodromou, a retired police general specializing in cybercrime, supports these measures as a crucial step towards increasing awareness of children’s digital experiences.
