Low Participation Marks SYRIZA Elections for Conference Delegates
The recent elections for choosing representatives to SYRIZA’s conference saw a notably low participation rate of 25%. This figure is slightly higher than the 15% turnout seen in the party’s earlier local committee elections in February. Local committee officials attribute this anticipated participation level to recent events affecting the party. The elections took place over the weekend, with a total of 40 delegates elected, alongside 4 ex officio members including a parliamentarian and current Central Committee members.
