A significant crackdown in France has led to the arrest of 15 suspects involved in drug trafficking money laundering. The operation, conducted in Marseille, Vaucluse, and Île-de-France, resulted in the seizure of nearly €1.2 million and 43 kg of cocaine. Prosecutor Nicolas Bessone revealed that suspects organized frequent trips to collect cash generated from drug trafficking, which was later laundered through various companies. Investigations began in summer 2023 and highlight ongoing drug trafficking networks despite previous arrests. Legal proceedings for several suspects are still underway as authorities seek further convictions.
